1. How To Delete Your Account
Follow these steps directly within the Memory Leaf app:
Open Settings
Tap your profile icon, then go to Settings → Account.
Select "Delete My Account"
Scroll to the bottom of the Account screen and tap the red Delete My Account button.
Confirm Your Identity
Enter your password to confirm it's really you making this request.
Review What Will Be Deleted
We'll show a summary of your content and what will happen to shared family posts (see Section 3 below).
Confirm Permanent Deletion
Tap Permanently Delete. Your account and personal data are erased immediately.

3. Impact On Shared Family Content
Because Memory Leaf is a shared family platform, content you contributed to a group's permanent archive (such as comments on a shared photo or additions to the family tree) may remain visible to preserve the integrity of your family's collective history. Your name will be replaced with "Deleted User" wherever technically possible.
4. Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Account access is revoked and personal profile data is erased.
- Within 90 days: Your data is purged from encrypted backup systems.
- Ongoing: Legally required billing records are retained per Section 2 above.
